Who is Appella<\/h2>\n

Appella is a Swiss watchmaker. They specialize in classic-contemporary watches: clean-lined cases, understated dials, and quality leather or metal straps. Restrained rather than flashy, with designs that will still look right in twenty years.<\/p>\n

Why Appella Watches Are Built to Last<\/h2>\n

Swiss Made Quartz Movement<\/h3>\n

The heart of the watch is the movement. Appella uses quality Swiss quartz movements from leading makers such as ETA<\/strong> and Ronda<\/strong>, whose deviation is measured in seconds per month, not minutes. The exact movement varies by model and is listed in each watch\u2019s technical specifications on our site.<\/p>\n

Sapphire Crystal<\/h3>\n

The dial protector isn\u2019t made of regular glass but sapphire crystal<\/strong>, one of the hardest materials in nature (9 on the Mohs scale). In practice, keys in a pocket or a knock against a table will not leave a mark, and the crystal keeps its clean look for years. 3-5 ATM Water Resistance<\/h3>\n

The models in the collection offer water resistance of 3 or 5 atmospheres, depending on the model; the exact rating is listed in each watch\u2019s specifications. This level is intended for limited everyday contact with water, such as light splashes and rain; always follow the specific model\u2019s rating and the manufacturer\u2019s instructions.
