Whoever was blessed to receive one does not treat it as money. For them it is a memory of the moment they stood before the Rebbe, and a blessing that passes through the family from generation to generation. That is how &#8220;the Rebbe&#8217;s dollar&#8221; became one of the most treasured gifts in Chabad homes, and far beyond them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-not-only-dollars-the-rebbe-s-coins\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Not Only Dollars: The Rebbe&#8217;s Coins<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alongside the bills, over the years the Rebbe also distributed coins: nickels and dimes to children so they would give them to charity, special coins at Lag BaOmer parades, and coins marking special occasions.
