The heart of the watch is the movement. Appella uses quality Swiss quartz movements from leading makers such as ETA and Ronda, whose deviation is measured in seconds per month, not minutes. The exact movement varies by model and is listed in each watch’s technical specifications on our site.
Sapphire Crystal
The dial protector isn’t made of regular glass but sapphire crystal, one of the hardest materials in nature (9 on the Mohs scale). In practice, keys in a pocket or a knock against a table will not leave a mark, and the crystal keeps its clean look for years. Most models in the collection have sapphire crystal; the exact type is listed in each watch’s specifications.
Stainless Steel Case
The case is made of quality stainless steel, resistant to corrosion, oxidation, and temperature changes. Water, sweat, the Mediterranean climate: through it all, the stainless steel keeps its appearance.
3-5 ATM Water Resistance
The models in the collection offer water resistance of 3 or 5 atmospheres, depending on the model; the exact rating is listed in each watch’s specifications. This level is intended for limited everyday contact with water, such as light splashes and rain; always follow the specific model’s rating and the manufacturer’s instructions. The watches are not intended for swimming or diving, unless explicitly stated otherwise in the model’s specifications.
